Tax Payment Needed for Migrants Entering UK

Filed under: Immigrant Tax — admin @ 2:32 pm

The Government plans to introduce yet another tax, this time for Foreigners who wish to enter the UK and its called “immigrant tax”. Its purpose seems to be providing funds for schools and hospitals used. Public service funding is always an issue with the government and the strain of increased immigration in the UK seems to be taking its toll on such services.

Immigrants coming to the UK will have to pay an amount of tax based on the assessment of them being a burden to the state. Younger skilled workers are likely to pay less tax than someone who is older and would need more health care, for example. Immigration numbers are of course still on the increase and MP’s claim in some areas of Europe that numbers are causing excessive strain.

It is looking likely that the tax level for immigrants entering the UK is likely to be around 10% of the current visa fee which could generate an extra £15 million a year for the UK government.
