Filed under: Australia Work Visa,Immigration Requirements,Visa Immigration — New Thirteen @ 10:56 am

With Australia’s warm climate, growing economy and natural beauty, many people have been encouraged to work and live there. To move to this country, one needs to obtain an Australian visa.

Applicants must apply via the internet for the ETA visa or Electronic Travel Authority visa if they wish to visit the country. Those interested in working and travelling there should secure an Australian Working Holiday Visa. If a person wants permanent residence in the country, they need to get the required visa through the Australian General Skilled Migration Programme, which aims to help the skills deficits in the country by encouraging potential migrants who have the ability to contribute to Australia’s economy.

An Online Eligibility Assessment is based on an immigration points system defined by the DIAC or Department of Immigration and Citizenship. Applicants must gain the required points in order to be eligible immigrants to Australia.

To start an online visa assessment, an applicant needs to choose from among the Australian visa categories: Skilled Visa, Working Holiday Visa, Travel Visa, Family Visa and Fiancé/Spouse Visa. The Skilled Visa is for those skilled workers interested in migrating to the country. A Working Holiday Visa can be obtained by an individual aged under 30 years who desires to work in the country for a maximum of 2 years. A Travel Visa is secured by a person taking a short business or holiday trip. A Business Visa is for a business executive or entrepreneur who wants to move to Australia. A Family Visa is for a person with a relative in Australia who can sponsor his/her immigration to the country. A Fiancé/Spouse Visa is obtained by someone engaged or married to an Australian citizen.

Moving to Australia

Australia is a wonderful country which provides much for people who appreciate its lifestyle and culture. If you are thinking of moving to Australia, there is a lot of planning to do. For example, you must decide on what to bring with you. In case things do not work out as planned, you should set aside a sufficient amount of money for your move back home. Before leaving for Australia, you should learn about its culture, the people, and foods.

First of all, you must have a current passport. It may take several years to receive an immigrant visa, during which time this passport is your entry to all government processes. You may apply for a work visa if the company where you work has an office in Australia. If you can arrange to work for the company’s Australian branch the immigration process will be easier for you, since the company will be the one to apply for your visa. The work visa will last for a year, after which you must apply for a visa again.

You may apply for permanent residence after two years. All important paperwork must be brought with you, such as school diplomas, birth certificate, records and documentation of investments, marriage certificate, and proof of the amount of money you have in the bank. If you want to reside in certain areas of the country, you may apply for a Skilled Independent Regional Visa (SIR). This kind of visa encourages people to live in places which do not have a huge population.

Guidelines for obtaining an Australian Working Holiday Visa

Filed under: Australia Work Visa,Immigration Requirements,Work Permit — New Thirteen @ 3:02 pm

Australia is an affluent nation which is noted for providing excellent social programmes including top-rate investment and work opportunities. To those who wish to work and/or go on a holiday there, all you need to have is an Australian working holiday visa.

To qualify for an Australian working holiday visa you need to be around 18-30 years and you should have a passport from a country which has reciprocal agreements with Australia. This visa allows you to work in the primary industries in the country including construction, mining, and animal and plant cultivation for 12 months. Applicants for this visa must belong to a country such as the UK, Canada, Italy, South Korea, and Norway to name a few.

For those who have qualified for the Working Holiday Visa, the very first thing you must have is a Tax File Number (TFN). You must have this before you start working, otherwise you will be taxed at the rate of 48.5%, and that will definitely slash a large amount from your salary! If you have a TFN then expect to be charged a lower tax rate at 29%. To get a TFN, drop by the local taxation office with your passport and then fill out an application form. You may also need to open a bank account to enable your future employer to deposit your salary. Furthermore, you must have a mobile phone for making and receiving calls, especially when you are hunting for a job.

For those who want to apply for an Australian working holiday visa you may go directly to the Australian High Commission Office, and complete an online application form. You can also visit visasforaustralia.co.uk; this site handles business visas, tourist visas and working holiday visas for Australia.

Australian migration

In 2008, Australia, the world’s smallest continent, had a population of approximately 21 million. Nowadays, people have been considering Australian migration for varying purposes.

One good reason is the aggressive migration programme, which was introduced soon after World War I, and has continuously operated until today. Another reason is its excellent geography and climate.

The countryside of Australia is truly beautiful, and although the country’s temperatures can get very high, it is in the inland areas of the country where that usually occurs. Maritime influence has indeed benefited the country. Aside from that, skilled labour shortages exist in Australia.

Through its immigration policies, this problem in labour supply has been addressed by the country. It welcomes qualified individuals to work and live in Australia. Thus, this need for qualified workers resulted in the rapid growth of its economy. The robust economy of the country has also ensured a better quality of life, and vast economic opportunities for human development.

In the United Nation’s Human Development Index, Australia has always been included within the top 10. Another reason is its housing costs, which have remained affordable, unlike the escalating housing and rental costs that some of the world’s biggest economies have been struggling with.

A major research project was undertaken by the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute (AHURI) in the early 2000s for the purpose of evaluating housing affordability among Australians who have lower incomes. Another consideration by immigrants is Australia’s western-style system of education. Free education is provided in the primary and secondary schools, which are managed by the government.

The population growth of the country is credited mainly to Australian immigration. Indeed, Australia is considered as a nation founded on immigration.

Information on Australia immigration

For highly skilled young individuals who wish to start a new life in another country, one popular destination is Australia, which has a strong economic status. The immigration of skilled workers is actively encouraged in this country. The points-based system is used for assessing those who desire to work in Australia. In this case, the skilled worker applicant and skilled migrant can use their work experience, language proficiency and other qualifications in order to satisfy the requirements for Australia immigration, as these criteria will be given particular points. There are other ways to obtain Australia immigration visas, including the Humanitarian Programmes and the Australian Family Migration.

In the years 2007 to 2008, there were approximately 152,800 places that the Migration Programme of Australia provided, with 102,500 of those under skilled migration, like the Australian Skilled Independent visa.

For those individuals who don’t have employers to sponsor them, the General Skilled Migration (GSM) programme can be considered, as long as the necessary skills that Australia needs to fill its labour shortages are possessed by the applicant. Only those over the age of 18 and under the age of 45, and who are capable of speaking good English can be considered qualified applicants. Recently, there have been modifications in the GSM programme. For those who can speak very good English, more points are added.

In certain cases when an applicant fails to reach the qualifying points, he should not be totally disappointed, as he can be placed in the reserve pool. In the future, this type of applicant may be considered if the required points in Australia Immigration are lowered.

Australian immigration

Australian immigration is becoming more common nowadays, as many people have noted the benefits of living in Australia and they consider it one of the potentially great places to live.

With its wide array of cultures and hundreds of nationalities, Australia is indeed an exceptionally diverse country. Waves of immigrants from various geographic locations entered Australia during the 20th century. This event has created a melting pot of traditions, arts, cuisine and culture.

Many people consider the weather one of the biggest benefits to living in Australia. One famous Australian misconception is that their country only has two types of weather: dry and hot, and dry and very hot. In certain parts of the country, this is actually true. However, a wide array of weather conditions actually exists in Australia. If one is after a tropical lifestyle, Australia’s northern part must be considered. On the other hand, the mild winters and long summers that are common in Australia’s most populated areas are what most people enjoy. Examples of these populated areas include Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

Considering the present financial crisis that has made a great impact on the economy of the world, Australia’s prosperity is one of its benefits. In comparison with other nations, Australia still has a lot more insulation from the crisis, although the global credit crunch has negatively affected its economy. Over the next few years, experts have predicted that although the growth of the economy will be slowing down, there will still be more opportunities, mainly because of the country’s strong ties with Asia.

Information about Australian visas

Filed under: Australia Work Visa,Visa Immigration — admin @ 10:49 am

Australia has implemented strict immigration laws. All those who want to immigrate to Australia must pass a character test to qualify. The conduct of a person is examined to make sure that he possesses a good moral character.

People who engage in activities that disregard human rights or the law, and persons who evade debts, are considered lacking good moral character. In the past, if one had visited Australia, the authorities would check whether criminal charges were brought against him or if he was deported.

One must not arrive in Australia on a tourist visa if he plans to work in the country. The Australia Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs has passed a decree, which states that a person cannot work on a tourist visa. Often, one is not also allowed to change his visa type on arrival.

A Bridging A is a type of visa that will be given to a person who arrives as a tourist in Australia and seeks asylum as a refugee. A tax file number will be given, and the person will be allowed to work. This visa is provided usually to those who, within 45 days of arrival, apply for a refugee visa. Within weeks, the person’s application will be processed. If the application for a refugee visa is denied, 28 days will be given to either leave the country or appeal against the court’s decision.

Accurate factual information must always be provided by anyone seeking refugee status. The person will fail in the character test if he fabricates statements and make false claims. Subsequent visa applications may be rejected due to falsified information given by the applicants.

Australian Work Visas Sex Traffic

Filed under: Australia Work Visa — admin @ 5:27 pm

The Australia work visa is causing problems because of the sex industry. Korean women have been found working in brothels in Sydney for more than 20 hours per day. The women came to Australia on work visas which are apparently legal. The Anti Slavery Group want the Federal Government to do more.

It seems that the women were held in the Sydney brothel against their will. Exploitation is a big problem especially with the introduction of temporary work visas. Work Visas in Australia may need to be reviewed.
