For highly skilled young individuals who wish to start a new life in another country, one popular destination is Australia, which has a strong economic status. The immigration of skilled workers is actively encouraged in this country. The points-based system is used for assessing those who desire to work in Australia. In this case, the skilled worker applicant and skilled migrant can use their work experience, language proficiency and other qualifications in order to satisfy the requirements for Australia immigration, as these criteria will be given particular points. There are other ways to obtain Australia immigration visas, including the Humanitarian Programmes and the Australian Family Migration.

In the years 2007 to 2008, there were approximately 152,800 places that the Migration Programme of Australia provided, with 102,500 of those under skilled migration, like the Australian Skilled Independent visa.

For those individuals who don’t have employers to sponsor them, the General Skilled Migration (GSM) programme can be considered, as long as the necessary skills that Australia needs to fill its labour shortages are possessed by the applicant. Only those over the age of 18 and under the age of 45, and who are capable of speaking good English can be considered qualified applicants. Recently, there have been modifications in the GSM programme. For those who can speak very good English, more points are added.

In certain cases when an applicant fails to reach the qualifying points, he should not be totally disappointed, as he can be placed in the reserve pool. In the future, this type of applicant may be considered if the required points in Australia Immigration are lowered.

Immigration requirements for moving to Canada

Filed under: Canadian Immigration,Immigration Requirements — New Thirteen @ 6:15 pm

There are several regulations that need to be followed when immigrating to a foreign country. This is done to ensure that the individuals entering the country are eligible, and also to prevent illegal immigration. In Canada, the immigration is divided into categories, but is mainly focused on economically motivated immigrants who are handled by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

The economic immigrants entering the country include professional and skilled workers, who must qualify for one of the job classifications that are listed in the chart of the National Occupational Classification. The applicants in this category are rated on their relevant experience and education level, in addition to the general requirements, such as the age limit from 18 to 49 years old. They must have the ability to function as a workforce member, the ability to speak English or French, and documents regarding their medical and criminal background.

Skilled workers in Quebec are also included in the class of economic immigrants, and they fall under the Canada-Quebec Accord of Immigration. They are required to be able to speak French, in addition to qualifying as skilled workers. Applicants in this category must first apply for a certificate of selection to the government of Quebec before applying for immigration.

A programme was designed in Canada allowing experienced businessmen to invest in the country for at least $400,000 and manage businesses. There are several classes of immigrants with business purposes that are accepted in Canada, including entrepreneurs, investors and persons who are self-employed.

Canada seeks individuals that are highly skilled in various sectors of business. Knowing that the country offers jobs with high standards, the immigration rate in the country increases every year. Over 250,640 immigrants were recorded in the country in 2001, representing 0.834% of the total population.

More than 90,000 workers are welcomed by Canada every year to fill job shortages in key areas of its economy. Canada needs more workers to fill the different positions, as the Canadian economy expands. There is already a shortage of workers in some sectors, such as manufacturing, health care, construction, and the care-giving industry.

For those who want to work in Canada but do not wish to apply as a permanent resident, a work visa is the best choice. However, to move to permanent residency, one can still use the work visa. The applicants can gain Canadian work experience, and can work and live in Canada through a temporary work visa. Generally, the applicant must meet the visa requirements, like security clearance, and must have previous experience.

In order to immediately know if one is eligible to apply for a Canadian Work Visa, the Free Temporary Work Permit Eligibility Assessment is used. It is the most technologically advanced and comprehensive online Migration Assessment tool. In all cases, the applicant needs a valid work visa to work in Canada. As an applicant, requirements for issuance of a work visa and temporary residence must be met.

If a work visa had been issued, the applicant may work and live in Canada for a particular period of time. He may also extend his work visa if he wants to continue working in Canada. Even if the work visa is intended for foreigners who seek to have Canadian experience temporarily, he may still claim points in order to apply for permanent residence. He may also have a permanent application processed in tandem while on a work visa in Canada. This will allow the applicant to stay in Canada once his application has been approved.

What is a Green Card?

Filed under: Green Card,US Visas — New Thirteen @ 9:36 am

A Green Card, a United States Permanent Resident Card, is an identification document that is issued by the USA to allow people from other countries to legally and permanently work and live in the country. It also serves as proof that immigration benefits have been granted to a Lawful Permanent Resident. There are many people around the world who want to have a Green Card to experience life in the USA; however, it is hard to apply for one and even harder to get one.

In 1990, the US Department of State administered the Diversity Immigrant Visa Lottery Program, also known as The Green Card Lottery, to increase diversity in the population of the country. The program was created by Congress, and was called the Immigration Act of 1990. It was intended for natives of countries that have fewer immigrants in the USA.

The requirements for those who want to avail themselves of the opportunity involve certain areas in education or training and other general requirements. No minimum age was set; however the education and training requirements exclude people under the legal age. You must not have a criminal record, must not be mentally disturbed, and you must be able to support yourself.

If you meet the requirements, you can apply for the lottery which is done online. You have to answer several questions, and after filling in all the information needed, you can submit the form to The Green Card USA GLOBAL. A processing fee must be paid upon submission. A notice will be sent to you confirming that your application has been passed on to the US Department of State. Winners of the lottery will be notified through the mail, and will be given instructions to receive their Green Card.

Information about immigration

Considered as a modern phenomenon, immigration exists because of the need of countries with a highly capitalist economy to have more labour power for various jobs. The rate of immigration continuously increases in different countries, because they seek individuals with special knowledge who can help them improve their products or services.

Some countries in Europe receive large-scale immigration each year, including the United Kingdom, which recorded 375,000 immigrants registered for work purposes in 2007. This record of immigration follows the entry of Poland into the EU in May 2004. The majority of the immigrants came from Africa and Asia, and there were other workers from India, Somalia, and Pakistan.

In 2000, over three million immigrants accounted for almost 10 percent of Spain’s population. Being one of the most favoured destination countries is the reason for this high rate of immigration, which is also the case in Portugal, Brazil, and other tropical countries.

Canada is the country with the highest immigration rate per capita, which is due to the family reunification and economic policy. Over 250,640 people came to Canada in 2001 and settled in its urban areas of Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto. The immigration rate continues to grow each year, including a majority of citizens from Asia. Like Canada, Australia also experiences a high immigration rate involving skilled migration and programmes for family reunion.

In the history of immigration, the USA recorded its highest rate from 1850 to 1930, when immigrants increased from 2.2 million to 14.2 million, accounting for 14.7% of the country’s population at the time. Immigration has a powerful impact on many countries. It may also serve to improve the economy through the development of its technology.

Australian immigration

Australian immigration is becoming more common nowadays, as many people have noted the benefits of living in Australia and they consider it one of the potentially great places to live.

With its wide array of cultures and hundreds of nationalities, Australia is indeed an exceptionally diverse country. Waves of immigrants from various geographic locations entered Australia during the 20th century. This event has created a melting pot of traditions, arts, cuisine and culture.

Many people consider the weather one of the biggest benefits to living in Australia. One famous Australian misconception is that their country only has two types of weather: dry and hot, and dry and very hot. In certain parts of the country, this is actually true. However, a wide array of weather conditions actually exists in Australia. If one is after a tropical lifestyle, Australia’s northern part must be considered. On the other hand, the mild winters and long summers that are common in Australia’s most populated areas are what most people enjoy. Examples of these populated areas include Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

Considering the present financial crisis that has made a great impact on the economy of the world, Australia’s prosperity is one of its benefits. In comparison with other nations, Australia still has a lot more insulation from the crisis, although the global credit crunch has negatively affected its economy. Over the next few years, experts have predicted that although the growth of the economy will be slowing down, there will still be more opportunities, mainly because of the country’s strong ties with Asia.

American visas

Filed under: US Visas,Visa Immigration — admin @ 3:32 pm

The time it takes to file for an American visa depends on one’s status in relation to the United States, the type of visa that one is filing for, and one’s success in completing the required paperwork. All applicants who try to receive a visa cannot be sure that they will obtain one. However, there are several steps that one can consider in order to save time for this particular endeavour.

The first thing that one can do is to call the nearest Immigration and Naturalisation Service (INS) office. The consulate INS office or the American Embassy must be contacted. Upon doing so, all the necessary application documents must be requested. Should you find yourself incapable of supporting yourself, inquire if there is a need for a U.S. sponsor who will shoulder all the finances. In this case, a sponsor must be searched for immediately. Next, the preliminary application must be filled out neatly and completely. It should be mailed back along with the documents, fees and photos needed for processing. Unless otherwise requested, copies of the original documents may be sent. To save time, and to check if one’s application is already complete, these documents must be delivered personally. Call the INS for a filing/interview appointment once all the documents are completed. It may take a number of days to accomplish this last process; after the interview, the applicant will be informed if the visa will be given to him/her.

With this kind of undertaking, aside from those required documents, one should also possess patience, persistence and courtesy, as there are thousands of people requesting an American visa.

The facts of Canadian immigration

Filed under: Canadian Immigration,Visa Immigration — admin @ 3:54 pm

An immigration plan can be compared to a good business plan. In executing both plans, a person needs to determine his goals, know the requirements to achieve such goals, and create a plan that anticipates every step. If the plan is more detailed, then it is easier to follow through to success.

Immigration to Canada is the general goal, and the class of immigration one intends to apply for is the specific goal. The most common class used by new applicants for immigration is the Federal Skilled Worker Class; in this class, there is the most flexibility. Once the applicant is qualified, the government will help him in his application, which makes his application process easier.

Another class implemented in 2007 is the Canadian Experience Class, which has been useful to Canada’s international graduate students and temporary foreign workers. For entrepreneurs, investors, and the self-employed, there is a business class for them. The class in which an immigrant must be sponsored by a relative is the Family Class. Provincial Nominees Class is a class in which immigrants apply to a specific province that has particular needs.

Before a person’s application for immigration can be approved, there are several immigration steps to follow. Such steps can be done with the assistance of an immigration consultant or an attorney. Going through all these steps does not mean sure-fire success. However, through systematising the process and organising one’s plans, there is a great chance that the plan will lead to success.

Information about Australian visas

Australia has implemented strict immigration laws. All those who want to immigrate to Australia must pass a character test to qualify. The conduct of a person is examined to make sure that he possesses a good moral character.

People who engage in activities that disregard human rights or the law, and persons who evade debts, are considered lacking good moral character. In the past, if one had visited Australia, the authorities would check whether criminal charges were brought against him or if he was deported.

One must not arrive in Australia on a tourist visa if he plans to work in the country. The Australia Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs has passed a decree, which states that a person cannot work on a tourist visa. Often, one is not also allowed to change his visa type on arrival.

A Bridging A is a type of visa that will be given to a person who arrives as a tourist in Australia and seeks asylum as a refugee. A tax file number will be given, and the person will be allowed to work. This visa is provided usually to those who, within 45 days of arrival, apply for a refugee visa. Within weeks, the person’s application will be processed. If the application for a refugee visa is denied, 28 days will be given to either leave the country or appeal against the court’s decision.

Accurate factual information must always be provided by anyone seeking refugee status. The person will fail in the character test if he fabricates statements and make false claims. Subsequent visa applications may be rejected due to falsified information given by the applicants.

Immigrating to Canada

Filed under: Canadian Immigration,Visa Immigration — admin @ 3:58 pm

Canada is seeking skilled workers, and this is good news for those who dream of relocating to live and work in Canada. Canada provides its people with an excellent standard of living, free health care and education. For those who are planning to start a new life in Canada, here are some guidelines that will help make such a plan a success.

The first thing to do is to know whether you qualify for a residency visa. Those applicants who have family living in Canada may be sponsored by them. Those who want to begin a business in Canada also have a good chance of acquiring a visa for entry. A skilled worker with experience in a certain profession or other qualifications can also apply for a visa to work in Canada. A person who has no criminal record, who can speak English, who is of working age, and who has talents that Canada needs stands a good chance of acceptance.

Applicants can begin to apply for a visa by looking online on the Web site of Canada immigration, and identifying which type of visa to apply for. An applicant can also contact the Canadian high commission located in his country for more information about the application. There are companies that assist those who relocate to Canada as part of their services, and most of these companies have a high rate of success. However, seeking assistance from these companies requires the applicant to spend a large amount of money for their services. After applying for a visa, the applicant must wait for the result between six months and three years, depending on the country from which he has applied.
